Next Level Unlocked by PLAYERZ ONLY - A field report

On Sunday, April 23rd, the "Next Level Unlocked" gaming event by PLAYERZ ONLY took place at the Aura Club in Zurich. With various gaming zones and a live DJ providing the entertainment, the event made the hearts of gamers beat faster.

Already at the entrance of the club one was greeted by Retro-Game Level 1-1 with various retro consoles, including consoles such as Dreamcast, Nintendo 64, Commodore, Atari and more. In addition, one could strengthen oneself with delicious American hot dogs, donuts and various snacks.

In the main hall, the sponsors such as HP by OMEN, Rivella, Nintendo Switzerland and some more were presented on the largest 360° screen in Switzerland with logo.
The Nintendo Switch console was the focus of the event - several consoles with different games were distributed in the hall. There was something for everyone, be it a shared multiplayer adventure in Kirby Return to Dream Land Deluxe, a one-on-one in Super Smash Bros, wild color battles in Splatoon 3, a few laps in Mario Kart or for the very sporty, Nintendo Switch Sports. Likewise, there was still a PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3 set up in the hall to try your hand at Tekken - a pure retro experience! For those who have never had a VR experience, here was a chance to try a game from "Vrilliant" and move around in the virtual world. So there was something for everyone, from young to old.

Well-known Swiss influencers such as Der Praktikant, Alessiadaily and PLAYERZONLY also took part. Among other things, visitors had the opportunity to take part in a competition in which they either played in the influencer's group or competed against the influencers. The lucky winners were able to win a Nintendo Switch OLED bundle.

In addition to the various gaming zones and the VR experience, the event program also included a performance by the Just Dance Club Crew from Western Switzerland and the Celebrity Battle with special guest Kaya Yanar. At the Celebrity Battle, various games ranging from Mario Kart to Mario Party Mini Games were played on the 360° screen - the team from Alessiadaily was able to secure victory.

Last but not least, HP in partnership with Interdiscount raffled off an OMEN 45L GAMING PC among the visitors.

All in all, it was a great little gaming event. We are excited to see how this will evolve in the coming years and look forward to the next edition.
